BoCA SUMMER SCHOOL 2017

Workshop with Eric Minh Cuong Castaing (France)

#danceswithmachines

The work of French choreographer Eric Minh Cuong Castaing revolves around the problem of new technologies that induce new structures of perception in our daily lives. This is a workshop on technologies, specs glasses and drones in the choreographic territory. Eric Minh Cuong Castaing questions the connections between technologies and the movement of the body when perception is modified by the machine, or even when the body becomes one. The questions asked will be of different types: how do we move? How do we dance? How do we feel the presence of the other in the physical space? And finally, how do our sensitive bodies perceive the machine?
