João Pedro Vale & Nuno Alexandre Ferreira’s visual arts practice includes a series of collaborations with other artists resulting in films, installations, fanzines, performances, set designs, and curatorial projects. In this performance, they were inspired by the circus imagery of the films “Freaks” (1932) and Federico Fellini’s “The Clowns” (1970) to create an absurd parable about difference, stigma, normativity, discrimination, and the limits of convention.
