ONLINE CONVERSATIONS
Conversations with different guests about Body, Science, Thought, Community, Sustainability, Imagination, in relation to Covid-19, moderated by Cláudia Galhós, Vítor Belanciano and the Generator team. The conversations are live on the YouTube channel of BoCA Bienal. Every Wednesday and Friday until at least the 30th of June.

Gabriel Abrantes was born in North Carolina, United States, in 1984. His films premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight and Cannes Film Critic’s Week, Berlinale, Locarno Film Festival, Venice Biennale and Toronto Film Festival. have been distinguished with a wide range of awards, including the Critics Week Grand Prix, the EFA Award at the Berlinale, the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Festival, and the EDP New Artists Award. His work has been shown at the Whitechapel Gallery and Tate Britain (London), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the MIT List Visual Arts Center (Boston), Kunst Werke (Berlin) and the Serralves Museum (Porto). He participated in the 32nd Bienal de São Paulo, in the Bienal Tropical 2016 and in the Bienal d’Image Mouvement 2014. The set of his work has been shown in several retrospectives, at Lincoln Center (New York) and BAFICI (Buenos Aires), among others. Lives and works in Lisbon.
