BoCA goes to Vale da Amoreira | O Barco / The Boat

Multidisciplinary artist and writer Grada Kilomba created “O Barco / The Boat”, an installation and performance presented at MAAT, in Lisbon, as part of BoCA 2021. The project is a metaphor, according to the artist, to “produce a new memory of slavery”, a rewriting of the colonial past.

In the foyer of the CEA – Centro de Experimentação Artística of Vale da Amoreira, on May 5 and 6, the mini-documentary produced by BoCA on the work and its impact will be shown on a loop.
